Core Capacity Planner

Your Role

Join Atlas Copco as a Core Capacity Planner where you will work with the Scheduling / Planning team and the Manufacturing Manager to monitor and plan work center load vs. capacity for core work centers. This will include parts & assemblies for all unit cores and upgrades as well as aftermarket parts orders. This role is hybrid and reports to the Order Center Supervisor.

You will evaluate capacity vs. planned load of each core work center.You will schedule, track, and monitor specific to all impeller orders, internal and external machining.You will schedule and update scheduling / updating material cut list for saw prior to machining requirements in Seal Cell and CTX.You will provide weekly updates to Aftermarket for NIS reporting for the month.You will create and maintain detailed schedule for each core work center.You will provide monthly, weekly, & daily direction of required parts / assemblies to complete for each core work center & work cell.You will provide feedback to Core Manufacturing Manager and Scheduling / Planning team when load exceeds capacity to develop an overtime or work around plan.You will evaluate production capacity of each work center and coordinate with the Core Manufacturing Manager and Scheduling / Planning team to outsource as needed.You will attend kick-off meetings to define scheduling needs based on the scope of the specific project.You will schedule any required witness and observed points and notify PM team.You will update and maintain capacity planning tools as needed.You will provide required accumulation dates for all core work centers to stores.You will participate in determining work arounds to hold core manufacturing & assembly schedules when rework occurs.You will report monthly on work center loading, delivery performance, budget vs. routed times, and planned hours.You will participate in release strategy discussions with Scheduling / Planning team to determine make vs buy.You will communicate updates in SAP as needed to Scheduling team.You will monitor overall status of production orders to ensure they are completed to support required delivery commitments.You will work closely with Project Management and the Scheduling / Planning team to identify critical items through internal work centers and reschedule / expedite as needed.You will perform other tasks as assigned by Order Center Supervisor.You will comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements.

 
To succeed, you will need  

You are at least a high school graduate.You have 1-3 years experience in the same or similar function. College work may be substituted for some experience.You have strong written and verbal communication skills. You have aptitude to learn manual and computerized procedures and required software.You are able to work effectively with the internal customers and suppliers of the group.
