MH: House Support-(Full Time, Evenings) 

Job Summary: The Coordinator-Staffing is responsible for the support of the daily function and operations of staff at LLUMC-Murrieta (LLUMC-M). Provides nursing and respiratory care staffing services 7 days a week, 16 hours a day for LLUMC-M. Maintains keen focus and works well under pressure in a fast paced setting with continually changing staffing requests for licensed and non-licensed staff. Achieves and maintains a trusting and credible collegial working relationship with leadership and staff.  Ensures staffing is adequate for each area and maintains a hospital wide perspective and objectivity when making staffing decisions (flexing, floating, placing staff on call, calling in staff, registry use). Collaborates with management personnel to coordinate the distribution of nursing division staff to the patient care areas; maintains staffing records of scheduled and actual work assignments. Collaborates with management personnel to ensure that staffing is adequate for upcoming shifts. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service and professionalism. Promotes a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Associate Degree preferred. Minimum one year of staffing experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Must be able to function within the expectation of a mature adult and well-adjusted individual and maintain utmost confidentiality in all work-related matters. Must be able to focus and multitask in a busy environment with multiple interruptions and meet staffing deadlines/timelines.  Must be able to work well with others and follow-up on hand-off issues without criticizing. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) and relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; operate and troubleshoot equipment required for the position; be assertive and consistent in following policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; accept and follow directions; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; function independently with minimal supervision and with high personal regard for the quality and accuracy of the work performed; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to position.
