Coordinator of Undergraduate Programs
Job Description: In collaboration with the Associate Director and Manager of Undergraduate and Graduate Programs, this position will serve as liaison for coordinating Leadership Alliance undergraduate programs administered nationally across 40+ academic institutions and industry partners. The Coordinator of Undergraduate Program position leads efforts to coordinate the recruitment, application, and selection processes for the national consortium's Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP). In addition, the position supports Executive Office staff and Alliance coordinators on the implementation of specially funded programs for undergraduate and post baccalaureate students. This coordinator’s involvement in program development and implementation contributes to the assessment of undergraduate activities along with the external evaluator and the Manager of Undergraduate and Graduate Programs. Collaboration with Alliance coordinators is further demonstrated through committee work, business meetings, and ongoing review and support of best practices across the consortium. The Coordinator of Undergraduate Programs is also responsible for the coordination of the summer undergraduate research program at Brown University, including recruitment of students and mentors, application review and oversight, orientation and communication of summer program activities, and cross collaboration with Brown University operational departments. Qualifications Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of program coordination experience, preferably in a university setting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. + Master’s degree preferred. Job Competencies + Effective written and verbal communication skills; skills in budget tracking and financial coordination. + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask. 
 + Technical proficiency/expertise with word processing and spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite. + Technical proficiency/expertise with online platforms and applications including Google, Social Media, Constant Contact, Internet, Gmail. 
 + Ability to prioritize, important projects when new hard deadlines change; work independently as well as in a team environment. + Interpersonal skills essential to communicate with administrators, faculty, and undergraduates, from member institutions of diverse populations. + Strong project management skills. + Willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment. + Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment. + Strong understanding of a research career trajectory and the critical transitions therein. + Experience with software including Tableau, Qualtrics, Canva, and Adobe Suite would also be a plus.
