University Human Resources UHR has an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to serve as a Classification and Compensation Consultant on the Classification and Compensation team a part of the UHR Talent Management team In partnership with the Assistant Director of Classification and Compensation UHR leaders and campus unit leaders the Classification and Compensation Consultant is responsible for conducting compensation reviews and analyses for new hires reclassifications and promotions to ensure pay equity Create new job descriptions as needed The incumbent will serve as a representative for UMD on the USM Classification and Compensation Committee and work with other USM institutions to develop new non exempt job specifications Meet with HR Partners on a regular basis to develop strong relationships and educate and influence campus regarding Classification and Compensation matters
