The Federal Grant and Contract Finance Coordinator is responsible for post award management and administration of federal grants and contracts for faculty in the Department of Physics This individual will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of faculty accounts ensuring that resources are well managed accurately reported and comply with federal and state regulations as well as University of Maryland policies and procedures This position must adhere to University financial management standards general management and accounting principles practices methods and techniques A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to apply various policies and procedures to real world situations In addition a successful candidate must be enthusiastic positive detail oriented self motivated and have a demonstrable ability to take initiative
