Job Summary
The Coordinator of Structured Sports will serve as the day-to-day point-person coordinating the administrative duties of the Drexel Club Sports Program which involves 33 teams, 40 coaches and 1,200 students and the Intramural Program which serves over 1200 students across 19 sports. This individual is integral to enhancing the student experience through sports by providing proactive communication, detailed and well-organized record keeping, and are an overall first class, professional representation of the Department of Recreational Athletics. This position reports to the Director of Campus Recreation.
Essential Functions
Assist in daily management of Drexel Club Sports and Drexel Intramurals Serve as initial point of contact for Drexel Club Sports and Drexel Intramurals for all University offices, coaches, and student leaders. Meet with campus partners regularly to ensure Clubs are within University expectations. Serve as an initial point of contact for Drexel Intramurals for student officials and staff, as well as teams, captains, and participants. Maintain all active club and intramural records including overall practices/competition schedules, contacts (club officers, coaches, instructors, facilities, staff, etc.), participation, club rosters, travel itineraries, recognition process, etc. Act as a mentor to the Club Sport Council and Club Sport Council Executive Board. Coordinate and attend Club Sports Council & Club Sports Executive Board meetings as needed. Maintain accurate records of the Club Sports Tier Structure and communicate to Club officers about their tier status regularly. Attend games and practices as assigned. Collaborate with Club Sports Athletic Training staff and the Club Sports Executive Board on a regular basis. Develop and complete Club Sports annual report. Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sport Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.) Minimum of 1 year of experience in Athletics or University Recreation. Strong organization and communication skills. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree. Experience mentoring students or in leadership development.Location

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade H. Compensation for this grade ranges from $35,790 - $53,680 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
