Apply today for our Coord Bed Management opening and continue to learn! **POSITION SUMMARY:** The Bed Management Coordinator (BMC) coordinates the assignment of patient care beds within the hospital. Empowered by Senior Executive Leadership, the BMC collaborates with facility departments and medical staff to promote appropriate, timely patient placement in beds and positions, so that patient care is not delayed. The BMC facilitates regularly scheduled bed management meetings with facility staff to identify and communicate bed utilizations issues. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** 1. RN with broad-based clinical knowledge and understanding of facility Plan of Care unit-based admission, discharge, and exclusion criteria 2. Effective conflict resolution skills 3. Effective strategic, logistical and critical thinking with pro-active decision making and negotiation skills 4. Ability to facilitate daily Bed Huddles and develop action plans to mitigate discharge barriers 5. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships 6. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats 7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously 8. Able to have crucial conversations in a confident manner 9. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and able to work effectively within teams 10.
