Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will provide high-quality, fresh food to guests at eating establishments. You will report to the Kitchen Supervisor.

Payrate: $14.50 per hour | Hourly, Full Time | Schedule and Hours: 10:00am to 6:30pm Monday, Thursday and Friday; 9:00am to 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday with Tuesday and Wednesday OFF | WEEKLY EARNED WAGE ACCESS IS AN OPTION FOR THIS POSITION | This position will furlough during the summer. | 

Primary Tasks:

You will prepare different ingredients including washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling of fruits and vegetables.Follow standardized recipes and methods to prepare meals that are cooked, tasty and visually appealing.Taste food before serving and provide garnishes for food plates.Follow established food preparation procedures and converted portion guidelines to control waste levels.You will practice proper food storage and follow suitable food serving temperatures.Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment by practicing proper housekeeping procedure cleaning while working.Set-up, service, and clean-up of food production.Rotate stock to ensure usage and disposal occur before the expiration date.Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Requirements:

Food Handlers LicenseMaintain accurate written records, and perform mathematical calculationsAdapt to changing situations, accept constructive feedback, and implement appropriate actionOne year experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria, or equivalent
