In this role, you will prepare meals on a large scale, adhere to established menus and USDA guidelines, and accommodate dietary restrictions as needed. Your attention to detail and positive attitude will help ensure a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, USDA guidelines, and dietary restrictions
· Coordinate daily menus by thawing and preparing frozen ingredients
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, equipment, and cafeteria
· Document meal preparation activities, including menu substitutions and food safety logs
· Assist in minimizing food waste by creatively utilizing leftovers within safety guidelines
· Prepare snacks and meals for special events as requested
· Communicate with coworkers and other departments to ensure client needs are met
· Monitor and report equipment issues to the supervisor
· Provide input on menu planning and client dietary needs
· Uphold safety and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Minimum of one year of relevant work experience
· Basic understanding of nutrition is beneficial
Additional Qualifications:
· Must provide evidence of being free from infectious and contagious diseases such as TB prior to employment and annually thereafter
· Successful completion of a background check, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect checks
· Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
· Completion of New Hire Orientation and all required training
· Successful completion of First Aid training and ServSafe certification
· Hepatitis A vaccination prior to handling food products (required for St. Louis area staff)
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and perform repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for tasks such as typing and writing
· Occasional walking or standing; primarily sedentary work involving sitting
