Conventional Turner

Role Summary:

 This position is primarily intended for conventional milling machine operation for machining keyways on shafts, although support in other areas such as conventional lathe or chisel as required by factory load is also expected. Once the part is finished they will be responsible for reviewing the dimensions to release the part from processing. The Conventional Machine Operator will report directly to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Respect, comply and enforce safety procedures/policies established by the company by actively participating in related activities.Respect, promote and collaborate with cleanliness and cleanliness of work areas, maintaining order in them permanently.Collaborate in the conservation and care of the equipment, tools and measuring instruments of general use and in their charge, using them correctly for what they were designed for.Remain in search of new knowledge and working methods, disseminating knowledge to the rest of the team. Actively participate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects.Collaborate in the conservation and care of the equipment, tools and measuring instruments of general use and in their charge, using them correctly for what they were designed for.Perform inspections of each manufactured part, recorded in each production order together with its drawing.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Mechanical technician or similar.Experience in conventional machining.Knowledge of machining operations, use of measuring instruments.Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analysis and presentation skills.Flexibility to provide support in different areas of the workshop depending on the workload.Ability to solve problems.
