ATI Forged Products is currently looking for a Controls Technician at our Irvine, CA facility. The Controls Technician is responsible for supporting the troubleshooting and maintenance of all programmable and hardwired logic devices of industrial control equipment. This individual will provide technical support on issues dealing with programmable logic controllers, programmable automation controllers, and AC drives as well as SCADA systems used for recipe management, data acquisition, and reporting. Essential Functions: + Under direction, support machine control systems for hydraulic presses, electrical as well as gas-fired furnaces, and other equipment with the goal of eliminating unplanned downtime. + Perform and document inspections, routine maintenance, and modifications on control system components per preventive maintenance plan or assigned work orders. + Interface with other resources of the organization to maintain and improve machine operating parameters. + Support machine controls and assure they are in compliance with environmental health and safety regulations as determined by EH & S. + Apply programing updates and revisions to PLC applications throughout the plant and maintain a revision/change log. + Assist in the management of projects within cost and time constraints as assigned. + Provide equipment operating procedures for new or modified control systems. + Consult and communicate with department managers to plan and schedule downtime as needed. + Support the installation and purchase of new equipment. + Recommend improvements that lead to greater equipment reliability. + Support continuous improvement of equipment through data obtained by acquisition tools.
