As a Team Leader, Manufacturing Operators in Mebane, NC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring flawless operations and driving continuous improvements in our automation processes. You will be part of an exceptionally talented team, dedicated to maintaining our high standards and pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Primary ResponsibilitiesDetermine root causes of failures and resolve issues with automation equipment.Communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing, across a broad manufacturing base.Fix and support various PLC formats, with a heavy emphasis on Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI hardware and software: SLC, PLC, ControlLogix, PanelView.Work with a wide variety of automation technologies, including robots, printing (Pad/Screen/Offset/InkJet), ultrasonic welders, vision systems, leak testers, labelers, capping equipment, reamers, and other finishing equipment.Collaborate with equipment vendors to address automation problems and improve functional knowledge.Interact with molding setups and process engineering to tackle component-related issues and their effect on the automation process.Support Automation Engineering with the installation of improvements and new automation.Mentor Automation Associates in work centers supporting root cause and problem-solving.Develop and modify procedures and training guidelines as needed for automation processes.Read and modify electrical schematics.Design, sketch, and dimension improvements to existing automation systems.Track and help maintain automation data (stops, scrap, etc.) to support continuous improvement processes using PPI tools and Lean techniques.Perform mechanical repairs as needed and complete preventive maintenance to keep automation and various equipment in efficient working condition.Education and ExperiencePreferred Associate's degree in Engineering or a technical field. Equivalent experience will be considered, with a demonstrated record of self-development and continuous learning.5+ years of related automated equipment experience.Must have a broad electrical and mechanical background, including hands-on experience with PLCs, robots, motion controls, and associated programming software.Physical and Environmental RequirementsMust excel at root cause analysis skills.Must be proficient with written and verbal communication skills.
