Job Description
We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer provides technical support to manufacturing operations, ensuring continuous improvement through the design, selection, installation, and modification of equipment and systems. Additionally, the role includes maintaining current documentation of equipment and systems and providing support to maintenance operations.
ResponsibilitiesDrive process enhancements, ensuring equipment, procedures, and systems operate at their best.Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and automated systems to maintain smooth operations.Create and implement machine control systems, including robotics, servo controls, and data collection, aligning with company design standards.Lead modifications, installations, and upgrades for new machinery and systems.Maintain accurate records of processes and operating procedures.Keep up-to-date with relevant technologies and manufacturing systems.Provide training on HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for plant personnel.Essential SkillsPLC programmingSiemens PLCRoboticsFanuc robotsControls engineeringTroubleshootingAllen Bradley PLCElectrical engineeringCommissioningPLC TroubleshootingAllen Bradley/Siemen TroubleshootingElectrical designAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering3-5 years of experience in PLC programming from scratch in Allen Bradley3+ years of experience in industries such as steel mill, foundry, automotive, aluminum/steel fabricationExperience in troubleshooting equipmentWork Environment
The work environment is a steel foundry with some clean areas, but it is not a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50/hr.
