Controls Engineer
**Controls Engineer:** My client is looking to hire a Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of electrical control systems. This role ensures all projects comply with safety, quality, and efficiency standards, supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement efforts. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Ensure adherence to safety, health, and quality standards. + Design, develop, and layout control systems, including cabinet load sizing. + Create and maintain programs for industrial equipment using RS Logix programming languages. + Program and commission servo controllers and closed-loop electro-hydraulic positioners. + Document projects with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD 2D for electrical schematics. + Work with material flow processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. + Provide maintenance support, troubleshooting electrical control issues as needed. + Integrate and program Fanuc and Kuka industrial robots. + Manage installation and technical support for PLC-based hardware and software. + Design control systems for mechanical and hydraulic manufacturing equipment, ensuring installation and commissioning meet design standards. + Develop and maintain electrical instruments for performance and safety. + Identify and implement new technologies for engineering projects. + Oversee industrial equipment and automation controls procurement and integration. + Program, debug, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robots. + Conduct electrical troubleshooting and debugging for system optimization. + Develop, implement, and maintain electrical systems for safety in the working environment. + Enhance quality and performance in manufacturing processes. + Design and program PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs). + Support Maintenance team with troubleshooting equipment and control systems issues. + Perform system specifications, design, and architecture development for control systems. + Program Rockwell/Siemens PLCs, networking, and HMIs. + Create standards, procedures, manuals, and documentation for projects. + Design and implement control systems for compressors and pumps. **Qualifications** To successfully perform this role, the candidate must meet the following requirements: + **Education** : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. + **Experience** : 2-5 years of controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. + **Communication Skills** : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and effectively collaborate with team members. + **Mathematical Skills** : Proficient in basic arithmetic and able to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. + **Reasoning Ability** : Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret various types of instructions in different formats. + **Technical Skills** : Experience with precision measuring devices, material characteristics, tooling, and machining practices. Familiarity with ISO/TS and quality system standards is preferred.
