Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description

This is a contract position from October 28th to May 16th, 2025. You will be part of project 223950, focusing on developing a battery module for customer AVS. Your main task at the beginning of the contract will be to develop offline programming for the machine being developed for assembling battery modules. The current system is divided into zones and operations with multiple PLCs throughout. Your initial goal is to set up these systems to develop offline programs for specified operations. The main controls system is in Logix 5000, and you will work with various brands of I/O, sensors, and safety equipment.Once the offline programming process is complete, you will transition to online programming, debugging on the floor at your assigned station. This includes checking out wiring and starting the debug process for all programs with the equipment. Although an Ignition background is not required, it would be beneficial as it is used for HMIs.You will work within a team of mechanical and other controls engineers. Teamwork is essential, and ideally, you should have 5+ years of experience, with 4 years being the minimum requirement. Experience from any industry is acceptable.The start date of October 28th is firm and crucial for the project's timeline. The work involves average hours, and while there is no travel initially, there may be potential travel to the system's end location in Springboro, OH, after project completion in June/July.
