What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of moderately complex automation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. You will lead project execution, manage client relationships, and guide your team toward success.

Job Scope:

Safety & Culture: Establish and maintain a safe work environment. Champion the company’s safety initiatives and promote company culture within your team.Project Management: Manage multiple projects, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely change notices, and monthly earnings reporting.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performance project team. Align team efforts with project goals and expectations.Budget & Schedule Control: Track project budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence and making necessary adjustments to stay on target.Client Relations: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients. Proactively seek opportunities for additional business.Documentation & Reporting: Review engineering documents and vendor submittals for compliance. Provide accurate project reporting and ensure timely decision-making by the client.Risk Management: Proactively manage scope changes through the Project Change Notice process and maintain overall project financial health.Project Closeout: Ensure effective project closeout, both internally and with clients, including final approval and documentation.

Ideal Background

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Registration:

Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred, or may be required.

Experience:

A minimum of 15 years of industrial project management experience, with a focus on automation/integration engineering.At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with demonstrable success in managing system integration projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance team while cultivating a positive and productive environment.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly set expectations and provide constructive feedback.Organization: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a solid understanding of project controls, budgeting, and schedule management.Client Management: Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and navigate complex project challenges.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of automation/integration engineering and ability to understand and apply engineering standards and project execution procedures.Adaptability: Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and performance.Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and common project management software.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.Ability to travel by personal vehicle and/or commercial flight, including overnight trips (estimated 10-15%).
