Description
We are seeking a Controller to join our team in Springfield, Georgia, United States. As a Controller, your role will involve managing a team, creating and maintaining operating budgets, preparing financial statements, and driving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the accounting team to ensure smooth operations
• Develop and maintain the operating budget, including forecasting future financial requirements
• Prepare and finalize financial statements, ensuring they align with the company's financial goals
• Drive operational efficiency through strategic planning and implementation of cost-saving strategies
• Leverage your understanding of the hospital revenue cycle for effective financial management
• Conduct year-end audits to ensure financial compliance and accuracy
• Utilize key operational metrics to guide decision-making and improvement initiatives
• Close financial periods on a monthly basis, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded
• Use tools like Microsoft Power BI, Pivot Table, and VLOOKUP to analyze financial data and inform strategic decisions
• Contribute to growth strategies to increase the company's financial health and sustainability.
Requirements • Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role within the Healthcare/NHS sector
• Proven track record of auditing and managing budget processes
• Must hold a CPA designation
• Proficient in budgeting and forecasting
• Experience with Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE)
• Ability to manage a Consolidated Balance Sheet
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements
• Experience preparing and presenting Annual Audited Financial Statements
• Skilled in creating an Annual Financial Plan
• Expertise in Annual Financial Reporting and developing an Annual Operating Budget
• Familiarity with Hospital Revenue Cycle
• Experience with Month End Close processes
• Ability to track and analyze Key Operational Metrics
• Proven record in driving operational improvement and initiatives
• Understanding of Operational Risk Framework
• Knowledge of Cerner Revenue Cycle, Cerner SurgiNet, and other Cerner Technologies
• Experience with Paylocity software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and other data visualization tools such as Pivot Tables
• Strong skills in Excel functions including VLOOKUP, xlookup, HLOOKUP, and Macros
