Description We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the financial industry, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This role is vital to our team as it involves managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization. The Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial reports, handling customer inquiries, and interacting with the company's CPA firm, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Lead the handling of company's financial reports, identifying issues and trends for reporting • Utilize MS Excel for formula development, creating standard and custom reports, pivot tables, etc. • Proficiently use QuickBooks Accounting Package for various financial operations • Manage and oversee the setup of "Bank Bill Pay" accounts and ACH payment transfer • Assist in setting up of automated Payroll using ADP for hourly and salaried employees • Lead quarterly and annual tax filing, reporting, and planning initiatives • Handle invoicing, shipment tracking and account notifications • Manage Accounts Receivables and Bank Deposits • Oversee Accounts Payables and perform credit card transactions • Ensure accurate 401K reporting and annual Safe Harbor Deposits • Handle bank account reconciliation and line of credit management • Conduct monthly/quarterly financial reporting including customer ranking report • Manage documentation for employee hiring and termination • Handle state employee termination and wage garnishment reporting • Oversee medical and dental insurance renewals • Manage and update pricing systems to reflect price increases, additions or deletions of products, and changes and additions to product descriptions • Check production orders prior to release for production as a backup to the Assistant Controller • Update Work in Process Report as back-up to the Assistant Controller • Generate order reports as needed. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller or similar role • Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services • Proficiency in financial reporting is required • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary • Must have a solid background in auditing • Demonstrable experience in budget processes is required.
