Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a dynamic consumer products company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is ideal for a hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-state operational environment. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will play a critical role in overseeing accounting processes, financial reporting, and ensuring robust internal controls. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide actionable insights for leadership. • Manage inventory and cost accounting processes to optimize operational efficiency. • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance. • Drive process automation and improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations. • Lead system implementation projects, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities. • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations. • Partner with external auditors to facilitate audit processes and ensure compliance. • Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team to foster growth and development. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on corporate environments. • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ADP Financial Services, CRM tools, and Crystal Reports. • Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions. • Background in auditing or public accounting is preferred. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Expertise in inventory and cost accounting processes. • Proven ability to manage and implement financial systems and technology. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
