Controller
Description We are seeking a Controller in the mechanical industry, based in Hampton, Virginia, United States. The Controller will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, leading our accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing daily financial activities and providing insights to the leadership team. • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer credit applications. • Maintaining accurate records and compliance with relevant accounting standards. • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Overseeing all general ledger activities, including account reconciliations and month-end closing processes. • Developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts, and reporting on budget variances. • Managing daily cash flow and working capital, including reconciling bank accounts. • Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, managing payroll taxes and benefits. • Tracking and allocating costs to specific projects or jobs. • Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Providing monthly financial reports to senior management, including analysis of key performance indicators and financial trends. • Assisting with financial modeling, cost analysis, and special reports as required by senior management. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Controller role • Proficiency in 3M • Demonstrated ability in using Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Proficient in all Accounting Functions • In-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) • Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Auditing • Familiarity with Budget Processes • Proficient in Account Reconciliation • Strong skills in Forecasting & Modeling • Experience with Monthly Forecasts • Knowledge of Construction Cost • Experience with Cost - Job • Familiarity with Fixed Asset Inventory • Proficiency in Inventory Accounting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
