In this position…

This critical role will be responsible for all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting activities related to the company's global technology investments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT financial management principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Enterprise Technology is critical enabler to Ford’s strategic objectives and modernization goals.

 

You'll have…

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 15 years within finance and accounting with increasing responsibilities, including 8 years with direct people management and 10 years with operational controllership.

You may also have…

Strong understanding of IT financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and capital investment analysis. Experience with financial modeling and analysis tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of GAAP and SOX requirements. Experience leading Finance and IT transformations in large global companies is desirable. Strong understanding of financial storytelling, incorporating variance analysis / benchmarking / business cases / transparency with assumptions Proven track record of delivering tangible results. Natural curiosity for technology & data. Willingness to roll up sleeves & dig into details.

What you'll do…

Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process for the Enterprise Technology organization, working closely with the CIO and IT leadership team to develop realistic and achievable financial plans. Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support strategic decision-making related to technology investments. Provide monthly and quarterly variance analysis, identifying key trends and drivers impacting financial performance. Prepare and present financial reports to various senior executives. Budget Management & Control: Monitor and control IT spending against budget, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Review and approve purchase requisitions and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the Enterprise Technology organization. Manage the capitalization of software and hardware assets in accordance with GAAP. Forecasting & Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts for the Enterprise Technology organization, incorporating input from various stakeholders. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis. Present financial results to the CIO and IT leadership team, providing insights and recommendations. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to corporate finance. Business Partnering & Collaboration: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CIO and IT leadership team, providing guidance on financial matters. Collaborate with IT project managers to develop business cases for new technology investments. Partner with procurement to negotiate favorable contracts with IT vendors. Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Process Improvement & Compliance: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT financial management. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other relevant regulations. Develop and maintain documentation of key financial processes. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices in IT financial management. Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of Finance professionals, located in the US and India.  Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
