Control System Engineering Project Engineer

KBR is looking for a CSE – Project Engineer that will be responsible for the technical and operation leadership of the process control system scope including DCS, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, and Process Analyzer for a Mega greenfield refining and petrochemical project.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnelResponsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies and proceduresDevelop and maintain sustaining engineering plansDrive multiple projects in various stages, from development to execution, with an eye for managing cost, scope, schedule, and internal reporting requirementsUse strong organizational savvy and relationship building skills to influence both internal and external resources, producing tangible resultsWork with internal and external engineering resources to develop the required deliverables for the Engineering Stage Gate ProcessUnder broad direction, this individual has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to manage the execution of the engineering design in accordance with applicable specifications and standards in order to achieve project objectivesAssures projects meet project objectives (including cost, schedule, and scope) by managing the development, design, and execution of assigned projects in accordance with specifications and standardsEnsures accurate cost budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and reporting of assigned projectsProvides clear, accurate scopes of work and construction packages including documentationAnalyzes and manages risks on projectsFacilitates safety and constructability reviewsCreates requisitions for engineered items and development of spare parts listReports on cost (including forecasting) and schedule attainmentCommunicates and resolves technical and commercial issues as related to project objectivesSuccessfully communicates with leadership, engineers, designers, document control, procurement, project controls, and all other departmentsEnsures all project documentation is completed

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

EDUCATION: 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering10+ years of industrial refining and/or petrochemical experience5+ years of experience in project leadershipTotal Minimum 15 years of experienceExperience with electrical schematic drawings, logic diagrams, and panel schedulesExperience developing specifications and system designExperience leading initiatives and managing suppliersStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.Attention to detail and the ability to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
