Control Room Operator

 

We are looking for an organised, efficient, and experienced Control Room Operator to join our security team for Mitie Business Services. You will be working within a supportive team to maintain and monitor CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels as well as incident management duties. 

Your key responsibilities will include assisting with daily operational requirements – ensuring compliance and accurate recording of incidents to outline identified risks. As part of your role, you will be required to escalate incidents, report Health and Safety concerns, and respond to emergency situations also producing accurate reports to ensure alarms are efficiently responded to. 

Our ideal candidate will have awareness of the law across, The Private Security Industry, Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative, Fire Safety, Technology and Systems in the Security environment and Emergency Procedures.

Hours:                                12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off days 4 on 4 off nights

Hourly Rate:                      £14.12p

About the Role:                

Working as part of a team in maintaining and monitoring CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels, Delivering excellent customer service Incident management. assisting with internal emergency calls  Good level of concentration and coordinating Good communication skills and effective report writing capabilities Prevention of loss of assets, critical technology, sensitive information, or reputational damage.  Monitor access and egress of personnel and guests and respond to breaches Maintain clear and legible records and logbook Adhere to health & safety at all times. Report and Log writing

 

Key responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day operational requirements. Ensure compliance with Assignment Instructions  Complete reports outlining any identified risks Escalate any serious issues relating to incidents in the appropriate manner Report any Health & Safety issues on sites Produce accurate incident reports Respond to emergency situations Ensure all alarms are responded in a timely fashion Any other reasonable managerial instructions.

Knowledge & Experience 

Previous control room, is essential Hold Valid SIA CCTV License (Essential) - (please do not apply if you do not hold a valid CCTV licence) Experience  gained in a corporate, Critical National Infrastructure, Police or Military environment. (Desirable) 5-year checkable education/work history & references Candidates must be well presented, fluent in both written and spoken English and experienced in conflict resolution. Positive and professional person with a desire to excel and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. Hold a Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (desirable) Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative Fire Safety Awareness Emergency Procedures Technology and Systems in the Security Environment Communicating, Reporting and Record Keeping Avoiding Conflict and Reducing Personal Risk
