McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Control Room Operator] position, to work a 12-hour night shift at the Burley, Idaho plant. Monitors PLC (RS View) to ensure areas are responding as specified for all production lines. Acts as the eyes ad ears for the factory – notifying operators and supervisors of any problems in the line operator
Accountabilities:
Promotes and adheres to company safety rules and regulations.Communicates and coordinators with operators in all departments.Observes and analyzes incoming data from operators.Maintains Log Book.Adjusts controls to set specified rates.Communicates with operators about changes.Notifies supervisors and operators when problems or changes in production occur.Monitors and records vital information into a report or data sheet on a regular basis.Performs standardized clean-up during plant down-time and on a daily basis.Maintains down-time report and transfers that information to the OEE downtime log.
Qualifications:
Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply reasonable person’s understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Skills:
Proficient with computer skills: such as Microsoft Office ProgramsCritical thinking and ability to effectively communicateMultitasking and highly organized is critical for this role.
