Control Manager

As a Control Management Associate within our business team, you will be tasked with maintaining a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment for the line of business. Your role will involve identifying and escalating issues promptly, and collaborating with the business to ensure timely remediation of these issues. You will assist in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing governance on centralized communications, risks & controls training & best practices, and various control initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to support line of business (LOB) aligned operations control manager (OCM) to evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business’ risk and control environment. Improve the risk profile of LOB through a proactive review framework and conduct process reviews. Implement a governance forum to provide progress updates and transparency on proactive reviews. Perform ongoing analysis of program-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) leveraging data analytics tools and AI/ML to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks. Develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies. Assist LOB OCM with the development of Risk & Control Self-Assessment mapping and documentation through participation in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units. Identify manual processes within the business operations that are suitable for automation. Leverage data analytics and AI to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of these processes and recommend automation solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational risks.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 5+ years of experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills The candidate must be self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Demonstrated ability to interact and provide coaching with Team members and partners with other senior stakeholders to support the goals of the business Strong Project Management & Communication skills across platforms - emails, meeting facilitation, presentations, documentation Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
