Your role and responsibilities•\tThis position focuses on the power systems and control aspects, hardware, and soft-ware, of high-power rectifier projects. It requires a good overall understanding of the en-tire electrical network and associated equipment.•\tSoftware understanding and programming experience.•\tParticipate in factory acceptance tests at vendors facilities, commissioning (Start-up) and Service High Power Rectifier Systems.•\tCoordination with the customer, the internal engineering team, suppliers of equipment & services, and other stakeholders involved in the project. •\tDevelop the relevant engineering deliverables, such as, equipment purchases specifications, drawings, bill of material, electrical diagrams, test procedures, electrical studies and records.•\tThe position requires successful completion of assigned projects on time and within budgetary constraints, in accordance with company policies and procedures.•\tProvide training to customers. •\tSupport sales activities in the preparation of RFQ’s and bid evaluations & analysis.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.Availability to travel in Canada and USA.Member of OIQ.Familiar with national codes and standards.E3 Zuken and/or AutoCAD experience is an asset.Power study tools experience (ETAP, Easy Power, Cyme, etc) is an asset.Communicate effectively with customers, vendors and ABB personnel in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. Independent and proactive thinker.Possess a sense of urgency/drive for results.
