Contracts Wording Specialist, Guy Carpenter

Guy Carpenter is seeking a motivated individual to join our London office as a Contracts Wording Specialist. This role offers a hybrid working pattern, allowing you to work three days in the office and two days remotely, providing you with the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.

We will count on you to:

Draft treaty wordings and assist colleagues and clients with technical inquiries related to wording and accounting matters, as well as the development of standard internal templates.

Assist in compiling and reviewing performance statistics for renewal packs, as well as providing support for internal training on contract wording construction.

Engage daily in providing specialised support to clients, account executives, and placing brokers across the IMEA region, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed.

Take immediate responsibility for the preparation and production of essential documentation for both markets and clients, including Endorsements, Certificates of Coverage (EOCs), and reinsurance wordings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine contract wording, ensuring clarity and precision in all documentation.

Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively address potential impacts on contract wording and client needs.

What you need to have:

A technical background in reinsurance, with a focus on the Middle East; experience in this market is preferred.

Proven expertise in contract wording within broking or reinsurance, demonstrating a strong understanding of the nuances involved in drafting and negotiating contracts.

Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide effective solutions.

A commitment to ensuring that minimum clause standards align with market requirements and the group's risk appetite and strategic objectives.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
