Schedule: 5/2, Sunday to Thursday, 8 hours per day
The Contracts Engineer is responsible for managing contracting and procurement (C&P) activities within the IT function, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and policies. This role involves developing contract strategies, managing the end-to-end tendering process, and supporting contract execution and closure.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement contracting strategies for various IT contracts, including PMC-type and reimbursable agreements.
Ensure all C&P activities align with internal procedures, safety policies, and business principles.
Manage tendering activities, from EoI/RfQ/ITT issuance to bid evaluation and contract award.
Lead contract negotiations and ensure documentation is legally and commercially robust.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders including legal, IT, and management teams to structure effective contracts.
Support vendor management efforts by evaluating and onboarding new suppliers.
Monitor contract performance, address variations/claims, and manage the change control process.
Maintain accurate and auditable contract and procurement records.
Ensure SAP and relevant digital tools are updated and utilized effectively throughout the contract lifecycle.
Provide support and challenge to contract holders while building strong internal working relationships.
Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in IT contracting and procurement.
Solid technical knowledge of IT hardware, software, and services.
Familiarity with legal and risk elements of IT vendor contracts.
Strong understanding of commercial terms and industry-standard contracting practices.
Proficient in SAP (including BP module) and Ariba, with strong Microsoft Office skills.
Skilled in negotiation, vendor due diligence, and stakeholder coordination.
Ability to influence stakeholders remotely and manage tasks without direct authority.
