Responsibilities

As a member of our team, the Contractor – Family Support Specialist can provide the following services for families who are involved with DFCS (Dept. of Family and Children Services):

Supervision for displaced foster childrenParent Aid TrainingSupervise visitation between approved parents and childrenProvide transportation servicesProvide drug screen collectionsCollaborate with case managers, other contractors, and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration Qualifications

 

 Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field Human Services degrees which are acceptable: Psychology, Sociology, Counseling (religious counseling does not qualify) Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Education (experience teaching K-12 grade)OrFive years’ experience in the human-services field working with children K-12th grade.
