CONTRACT SPECIALIST
Responsibilities The Contracts Specialist is responsible for new program contracts, vendor contracts, amendments, sales contracts and company state and national licensure requirements. Evaluates bids, writes contracts and negotiates terms in collaboration with legal and senior leadership to ensure contracts are legally binding. Serves as the main liaison with outside stakeholders as it pertains to contracts and company licensure; ensures all parties are fulfilling their obligations. Responds to requests for proposals (RFPs) and licensure requirements. Reviews and determines the need to amend to existing contracts; edits new contracts as necessary between the company and clients. Reviews state and federal regulations to ensure contracts and company licensure are updated and in compliance. Provides technical assistances to leadership, vendors and clients, and translates contract terms in an easy-to-understand language. Collaborates with sales team and operations on new business opportunities; coordinates all activities related to contract preparation and administration. Assists in the resolution of client complaints and concerns as the pertain to contracts. Assists in driving business growth and controlling risk. Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Research, Statistics, Math or related field required. Minimum five years of experience in writing and executing contracts required. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the entire contract life cycle from RFP to contract end. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to creatively solve problems. Must be familiar with the healthcare industry including applicable laws, regulations, policies and standards. Thorough, with the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated success in negotiation with vendors and clients. Above average relationship building skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintain an effective collaborative working relationship with peers and support staff.
