Start your new career as a Machinist with MAU at our client in Fountain Inn, SC. As a Machinist, you will operate and maintain numerical control (NC) machining centers, perform inspections, and ensure high-quality production by following established processes, safety standards, and quality procedures.
What We Offer: Pay of $15 Second Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:05 PM Third Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:05 AM What We’re Looking For: High School Diploma or equivalent Certificate in tooling, manufacturing, or a related field is required 5+ years of CNC machining experience Lathe machining experience and proficiency in operating the following machinery: Dual spindle with B-axis, Turret with live tooling, Gantry system and Siemens-controlled systems Exceptional attendance and reliability are required Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, as well as utilizing setup, process, and quality assurance documentation to ensure accurate and high-quality production Skilled in data entry and basic operations within SAP systems Demonstrated care and precision when handling products to prevent damage Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, instructional materials, and CMM reports Physically able to repeatedly lift to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, walk frequently, and occasionally bend or stoop What You’ll Do as a Machinist: Operate numerical control (NC) machining centers to perform diversified machining tasks Select, install, and secure cutting tools in machine spindles or magazines Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions, such as dull or damaged cutting tools, and take corrective action Review setup sheets and specifications to determine machining sequences and dimensions for finished workpieces Perform inspection and gauging operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications Interpret Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports to make basic offsets and adjustments to machines Deburr parts as needed to meet quality and safety requirements Follow standard processes quality procedures, and perform all required process checks Apply 5S methodologies to maintain a clean and organized workspace Cross-train on other machines, components, and value streams as required Document discrepancies and quality issues in accordance with established procedures Adhere to documented procedures and utilize the appropriate forms Use inspection equipment and gauges to ensure product compliance Support training and production efforts across various products as needed Comply with all quality, safety, and company standards
