About the Position: The US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) is the Army's materiel readiness command for aviation, missile and calibration that optimizes joint warfighter capabilities at the point of need. Responsibilities Provide expert level technical advice and management advisory services to project managers, program managers, and upper management on all aspects of procurement. Develop contract support documents in order to assist in resolving problems that arise during the performance of the contracts. Perform the initial planning necessary to conduct management evaluations of procurement programs for compliance with procurement policies and regulations. Recommend solutions to substantive, complex problems and potential problem areas that have impact on plans, programs, schedules, and deliveries. Coordinate with technical and specialized personnel and contracting personnel in formulating plans and specific acquisitions. Provide a viable contracting approach for meeting program needs and established objectives for impact on future procurements.
