Contract Administrator

Job Description

The Contract Administrator is responsible for the proper administration of contracts with Fugro’s clients.
The successful candidate will be accountable for (but not limited) to the following:
1.Oversee the administration of the contractual terms and conditions starting from the contract award through the contract close-out and final settlement.
2.Oversee performance and implementation of key contracts obligations, for the purposes of minimizing contractual risk;
3.Serve as point of contact with Legal in contractual matters and with all other relevant stakeholders with a view to monitor contract compliance with established procedures.
4.Coordinate with project managers and other project stakeholders within the company to address any contractual issues/risks related to: cost/time variations.
5.Pursue any project-claim related matter (inclusive of any dispute resolution as required);
6.Prepare and negotiate with the client any contract variances such as variation requests, extension of time.
7.Maintain and track contractual records, including communications/letters between the parties;
8.Monitor the project schedule and cashflow to ensure no schedule and cost overruns;
9.Ensure timely issuance of Insurance Certificates and Bank Guarantees in compliance with the contract as well as their cancellations;
10.Monitor the preparation of progress invoices (including required supporting documents) and follow-up on timely cash collection.
11.Prepare and negotiate the Subcontract Agreements pursuant to the Project requirements and Fugro’s Compliance requirements.
12.Ensure compliance with the contractual notices and timely issuance of responses to Client’s communications.
13.Support the audit requirements pertaining to Contract Management.
14.Attend important client and subcontractor meetings and ensure proper minutes of meeting are recorded

Core Activities

Manage and ensure proper execution of the Main Contract.Identify project risks and minimize project exposure.Ensure timely cash collection.Support procurement on subcontracts/POs (flow-down and negotiations).Provide support on project claims and litigation.Manage project communications and maintain proper contractual records.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law or other construction-related fields with postgraduate training.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project experience with EPC companies. Offshore project experience is a plus.
