About the Role As the Continuous Improvement & Sustainability Manager, you will play a critical role in leading safety improvements, managing EHS initiatives, and implementing Lean and Six Sigma strategies to enhance efficiency. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will oversee the EHS Supervisor while driving key initiatives in Georgia. Key Responsibilities 🔹 Safety & EHS Leadership (60%) + Lead and manage the EHS Supervisor, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations. + Develop and implement site safety programs to reduce incidents and improve workplace conditions. + Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and employee training to foster a proactive safety culture. + Oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, and develop corrective actions. + Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies, managing audits and compliance reporting. 🔹 Continuous Improvement & Sustainability (40%) + Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. + Identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce scrap, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). + Drive sustainability initiatives including energy conservation, waste reduction, and recycling programs. + Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive improvements. + Track and report KPIs for sustainability, efficiency, and operational enhancements. What You Bring ✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Management, or a related field. ✔ 5+ years of experience in EHS, continuous improvement, or manufacturing leadership roles. ✔ Expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance requirements. ✔ Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (certification preferred). ✔ Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability. ✔ Proven leadership in driving safety culture change and managing cross-functional teams. ✔ Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, preferably in extrusion or plastics processing.
