J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking motivated individuals for Continuous Improvement Specialist located in our Head Office in Saint John, N.B.
As a key resource to the Continuous Improvement team, the successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. In this position, you will work with the various key stakeholders in our businesses as required.
Qualifications:
Education Required: Post-secondary Degree in a Business, Engineering, or equivalent 3-5 years of related experience - preference being a lean workplace Experience working with PowerBI or other data visualization and analytics tools would be considered an asset Proven track record of innovation, ingenuity, attention to detail, ownership and willingness to seek and take on challenges Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to analyze problems/opportunities for efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or willingness to obtain Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Key Responsibilities:
Aid in executing CI initiatives within Corporate and operating divisons Provide coaching for process improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies Lead and facilitate improvement projects and workshops Serve as a data and/or analytic resource for initiative based teams
