The CI Manager is responsible in identifying opportunities for improvement by applying CI/Lean Tools. Lead/support the realization of continuous improvement opportunities through project management.  The CI Manager is also responsible in leading different teams for the effective implementation of Lean Initiatives for Excellence (LIFE) Programs to achieve a sustainable results.

 

Your core responsibilities include: 

Drives a culture of Continuous Improvement.

Define, implement, and administer a local Continuous Improvement (CI) program structure to align the company with global LIFE and CI programs.  Program structure to include team(s) structure and communication plan. Lead the overall CI team to drive achievement of the company goals ($ savings, etc) Routine benchmarking with CI leaders at other facilities to identify best practices and training opportunities for the local team. Work with CI team members to improve project management, data analysis, and presentation skills as needed to provide smooth, accurate, and clear reporting of project goals, progress, and recommendations. Identify opportunities for improvement, develop a project plan for implementing improvements and monitor the new process to ensure it works as intended. Actively oversee, direct and facilitate cross functional process improvement teams to help them in the execution of the projects and achieve business goals.  Support plant production and engineering teams in achieving targets for yield, productivity, uptime, and process stability improvements.Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts. Drives LIFE & Simplifeye programs and make sure appropriate Kaizen are animated with the right team members from different departments  Promote the suggestion system implementation in line with plant objectives.  Evaluate regularly the efficiency of your procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements. 

 

Portrait of a Perfect Candidate

Has a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years solid experience in continuous improvement and cost reduction from a high volume manufacturing facility. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Project Manager. Proficient in the use of improvement methodologies such as Lean. Good command in spoken and written English; experience with the creation of technical reports. Intellectually sharp, capable and can conceptualize systems and solutions. Proficient on operations and maintenance of production processes, and can explain the scientific and engineering theories behind the various company processes.   Proficient with project management methodologies, and able to coordinate with various stakeholders including external suppliers and internal customers to ensure efficient completion of various projects
