Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

At ABB, you’ll deploy and lead the continuous improvement strategy for the North America HUB, supporting multiple sites and driving various projects. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, mentoring and coaching teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. Your contributions will drive efficiency and innovation in our production processes. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to excellence.The work model for the role is: onsite (#Li-Onsite)This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division and you will be based out of Senatobia, MS.You will be mainly accountable for:• Deploy and lead strategy and objectives of the local organization to deliver the improvement framework in collaboration with local Operations team and business leaders.• Develop and help local teams develop automated production lines and foster awareness and commitment regarding continuous improvement at local management level.• Promote and lead improvement programs and projects within their own area of responsibility, with a hands-on (Gemba) and problem-solving approach as well as enable performance management at local unit with target setting and follow-up processes based on clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quantified facts.• Drive systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques, incorporating relevant learnings into local ABB practices.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor of Science degree Engineering or related field.10+ years relevant experience.Knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma principles and other process related standards.Working knowledge of process engineering software packages and possess CAD or AutoCAD skills.Experience in process simulations preferred, as well as experience in automation, plant layout design and logistics experience Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
