We, at Elite Comfort Solutions LLC, are searching for a Continuous Improvement Leader within our operationsteam to help support our bedding team. As a Continuous Improvement Leader you will have the opportunity to identify, lead, and execute the CI strategy via Lean Six Sigma methods within their assigned business or segment(s) to deliver bottom line, quantified results. This includes performing business assessment, planning, facilitation, execution of kaizen events, and sustainment through standard work and procedures. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by driving the cultural transformation through the business building effective matrix teams and driving involvement and talent development. The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.
So, what will you be doing as a Continuous Improvement Leader?
+ Support Branch Managers and other operations group leaders as required.
+ Access and generate measurement and assessment tools enabling operational and CI leaders to evaluate potential areas for formal Continuous Improvement actions and to subsequently determine their operational and financial value.
+ Recommend Continuous Improvement projects (e.g., kaizen events, point kaizens, major project teams, etc.) based on evaluating operational and financial data and qualitative analysis based on observation and discussion; supported by proposed budget and cost/benefit forecasts.
+ Project manage approved Continuous Improvement programs by coordinating necessary human and operational resources and setting and implementing budgetary and timing controls to achieve chartered goals.
+ Coach, counsel and train operational managers and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
+ Facilitate and lead Continuous Improvement events as a subject matter expert while empowering operational staff and associates to present ideas and create improvements and solutions.
+ Leverage best practices gained through Continuous Improvement activities to other activities which would benefit from implementation.
+ Analyze local business effectively and define/communicate a clear direction and go forward plan.
+ Define goals, metrics, and levels of success for internal/external customers.
+ Execute plans individually and by utilizing a cross-functional team to meet/exceed business goals and effective involvement of consultant resources.
+ Define plans for both short- and long-term application and benefit
+ Define team/staffing requirements within a matrix environment.
+ Build a matrix team focusing on talent multiplication and utilization of individuals’ experience/background.
+ Coach others to enhance their personal performance setting focused targets and expectations.
Provide proper reward and recognition to individuals/teams.
+ Provide decisive leadership and team facilitation in the face of adversity - define tasks clearly, identify and coordinate resources, and execute CI go-forward plan.
+ Quickly identify barriers to progress and execute team plan for success in/out of specific events.
+ Coordinate successful kaizen events with quantified success including assessment and effective sustainment of standard work.
+ Execute formulated or directed plans individually and through teams, must notably through coordinating and running successful kaizen events with quantified success.
+ Manage own time and to formulate priorities to manage several tasks at once without local or frequent direction.
+ Identify and plan to avoid potential barriers. Facilitate resolving barriers with sponsors.
+ Monitor cost, schedule and performance of projects and events. Evaluate and take remedial actions to achieve sustained success.
+ Identify training needs in partnership with operational management
+ Manage/Support need fulfilment.
+ Design, develop and lead/facilitate group courses.
+ Support individuals through coaching and counselling
+ Other duties as assigned by Production Manager or Plant Manager.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
+ 5-10 years of experience in a continuous improvement role.
Things we consider a plus:
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ Five or more years’ experience in operations, process improvement, or related function
+ Certified Lean Leader and extensive experience in leading kaizen events
+ Six Sigma Black Belt.
Salary range: $77,663- 103,550
