Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to streamline and enhance our manufacturing operations. This role involves implementing lean principles, analyzing current processes, designing efficient systems, and leading quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will focus on reducing waste, increasing productivity, and elevating product quality.
Responsibilities
+ Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
+ Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to reduce production times, increase efficiency, and improve quality.
+ Design and implement systems that improve productivity and reduce defects.
+ Use statistical methods and performance metrics to understand and improve performance.
+ Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues.
+ Develop and deliver training programs for lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping.
+ Manage and lead quality improvement projects.
+ Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
+ Develop and implement cost-saving measures using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
+ Coordinate continuous improvement projects and maintain 5S standards for production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
+ Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles
+ Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and problem-solving
+ Certification in Lean Six Sigma is a plus
Work Environment
On-site work required five days a week with up to 30% travel, typically for 2-4 days at a time.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $86000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
Health, Vision, Dental 6% annual bonus .
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Pittsburgh,PA.
