About the Role
As a Content Editor for the Practical Guidance Canada team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across editorial operations and commercial functions. Your role will involve supporting content creation and maintenance, as well as handling administrative duties. These tasks include managing author contracts and invoices, creating and renewing product IDs, generating reports, and supporting various other projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Standardization of documents for online publishing purposesEditing of manuscript for house style, grammar, and presentationXML tagging for online presentationIdentification and electronic linking of product sets and online sourcesQuality assurance testing and general editorial supportDocument creation for training and editorial guidance purposesGenerate contracts and amendments for external author manuscripts / other external author-related tasksWork with external author invoicing tasks as well asIssuing/renewing product ID'sCreate reports and presentations using available dataRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. [NOTE: This position is production-work / administrative / clerical in nature and does not require a law degree]Project management experience preferredProgramming background, xml tagging, and/or proven knowledge of automation tools such as Power Automate (preferred not required)Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and speak with customers and authorsExcellent MS office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint on PC (not Mac)Experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau or Looker (preferred not required)Ability to successfully lead and deliver projects using Lean/Agile approaches to support cross-functional business growthWorking Hours:
Fostering real-time collaboration with colleagues and external authors in Canada, this position will work a shift of 11AM – 7PM Central African Time, Monday – Friday.
