Job DescriptionThe Content Creator is responsible for developing and managing high-quality, engaging content that reflects the unique positioning and branding of Avani+ Fares Maldives. This role includes but not limited to social media management, content creation for multiple channels, and collaboration with key stakeholders to enhance the resort’s online and offline presence. The key skills for this role are: creativity, technical skills for photos & video editing, hunger to learn the latest trends in social and digital and an eye for detail to ensure content aligns with brand standards and drives engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand and Strategy Alignment
Understand the business strategy and positioning of Avani+ Fares Maldives to effectively articulate the brand’s unique selling points across all communication channels (online and offline).Work closely with Minor Corporate Design team on any collaterals / promotional materials development needs.Social Media Management
Develop and execute a monthly social media content calendar, including content planning, scheduling, community engagement, and analytics reporting for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices to enhance engagement and brand visibility.Respond to comments and messages on social media on a timely manner (in less than 5 hours)Content Creation and Production
Design and develop engaging social media content, including Instagram Stories, Reels, carousels, and single posts in alignment with brand guidelines.Plan, create, and execute high-quality photography and videography for use across digital platforms, print collateral, and advertising campaigns.Post-production process, including editing, colour grading, and packaging final content for distribution.Website and Digital Content Maintenance
Conduct monthly audits and update the resort’s website, ensuring content (text, images, and videos) remains fresh, accurate, and engaging.Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure campaigns and promotions are reflected on the website and other digital channels.Maintain digital commercial collaterals and photography updated on MHZone, Dropbox and any other sharing platform.Ensure content on sales travel partners websites / listings are accurate and updated.Internal Communications and Collateral Management
Maintain and update internal communication tools, including IPTV, guest information documents, posters, and digital collaterals.Liaise with corporate office design teams to create collaterals that align with branding and operational needs.Analytics and Performance Tracking
Monitor content performance and engagement metrics across platforms to optimize strategies.Provide monthly reports and actionable insights to the marketing team to drive continuous improvement across social media and digital channels.Campaign and Promotion Support
Assist with campaign development and execution, working closely with the e-commerce team to align content and messaging.Suggest creative ideas to promote resort offerings and reach target audiences effectively.Competitor and Industry Awareness
Stay informed about Avani+ Fares Maldives products and services, competitor offerings, and industry trends to ensure a competitive edge in content and marketing efforts.Conduct monthly reports on digital channels versus competitors, including but not limited to social media channels, TripAdvisor, Booking.com and other main OTAs.Tools and Technology Proficiency
Maintain proficiency in industry-standard tools, including but not limited to Photoshop, Lightroom, video editing software, and Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge on social media scheduling platforms like Meta Business Suite, Sprout or similar.Team Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with operational teams to ensure the accurate delivery of the brand’s promise through content initiatives.Proactively liaise with the corporate marketing team to align on campaigns and branding strategies.Administration and Efficiency
Ensure all administrative tasks, including content storage, approval processes, and photoshoots documentation, are completed promptly and accurately.Maintain a full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolset, Liveroom, photoshop and all other related softwares and apps.Ensure that all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.3+ years of experience in content creation for social media, with a strong portfolio showcasing luxury travel, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.Experience working in hotel marketing with global brands in the Maldives or island destinations will be beneficialProven expertise in conceptualizing, planning, and executing high-end content shoots (photo and video) for digital and social platforms.Strong experience in drone and underwater photography/videography, including post-production and color grading.Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and photo editing tools (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop) or similar.Deep understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook) and ability to create engaging, high-quality content tailored to each channel.Strong storytelling skills—ability to translate brand vision into creative and eye-catching visuals and videos.Experience working with models, influencers, and production teams to execute premium content shoots.Ability to analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite) to refine content strategy and measure success.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.Willingness to relocate and adapt to island life in a remote luxury resort setting.Strong collaboration skills and creative mindsetA positive, energetic attitude and a flexible mindset to work within a dynamic team environment.Experience in graphic design will be an advantage.References and portfolio will be required to support the role applied for.Additional InformationWe are Upbeat - We are Open-Minded - We are Genuine
