Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,115.38 to $2,276.92+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:

The Content Coordinator is a key member of the creative team within the marketing department. This self-motivated individual is responsible for creating industry-leading photo and video content, consistent with the Woodward Copper and Copper Mountain voice and branding to enhance the efforts of the marketing team and the resort as a whole. Along with content creation, the Content Coordinator will be responsible for managing all of Copper's photo and video assets. 

File organization is very important, and he/she must possess a working knowledge of existing assets and be able to provide them to internal or external partners in a timely manner. Responsible for creating content for Copper’s advertising, website and social media channels daily; including carousels, blogs, headers, banners and promotional material. Works directly with the marketing team to determine content needs and communicates directly with the appropriate business units to fulfill those needs. 

The Content Coordinator will be heavily involved in the management of social media channels. This team member aims to expand Copper's audience and maximize revenue through skilled use of both social media and traditional marketing media while producing pieces that are cutting edge. The Content Coordinator is passionate about skillfully capturing all aspects of the resort life and marketing that content to an evolving consumer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Photography & Video:

Fulfill daily photo and video requests both internally and externally.

Constantly manage a master list of photo and video needs and work daily with both employees and guests to fulfill them.

Work directly with the Marketing Manager, and other members of the marketing and Woodward Copper teams to support daily, weekly and long-term marketing projects.

Work with the public relations team member to provide content for media and press releases daily. 

Create at least two professional quality video projects per month, while still managing day to day requests. 

Must have open availability and be flexible to capture events while they are occurring and adapt to changing circumstances. 

Responsible for editing a variety of paid media ads throughout the year based on specs and a messaging matrix provided by our ad agency 

Organize all necessary marketing photo-shoots from snow messaging to events and activities. 

Keep open communication with all Copper business units to assist them in photo and video needs.

Stay educated on new trends and improvements in technology in the evolving photo and video world. 

Knowledgeable on the location of all digital assets while organizing and categorizing all new content. 

Attend all pertinent Copper events and capture professional quality images and video to market them, helping the Woodward team when necessary, too. 

Openly communicate to the marketing department on priorities and project timeframes.

Manage our ski model program and work with those models to get timely snow and powder shots. 

Must treat every fresh snow day enthusiastically, capturing the weather and pushing out the message via real time content with the help of the Social Media & Marketing Coordinator. 

Social Media:

Coordinate with Social Media Coordinator to develop yearly social media plan.

Responsible for helping to execute the annual social media plan.

Drive social interaction with creative media.

Assist in the daily management of Copper's YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and other social pages as they arise.

Monitor analytics to constantly build knowledge of the evolving Copper social media follower.

Utilize extensive knowledge of Copper's fan base to post captivating content at the right times daily.

Research popular trends in social media to capitalize on them to build the Woodward Copper and Copper Mountain following.

Website:

Provide photo and video content constantly to help keep website fresh.

Use analytic tools to understand what is driving revenue and engagement and how to influence these factors.   

Use HTML and/or CSS skills to embed videos and photo galleries throughout the website to enhance user experience.

Use design skills combined with current photo assets to create revenue-driving promotional content. 

General Marketing/Other:

Use Adobe Creative Suite programs including Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects to produce advertisements and commercials.

Be an expert in the Woodward Copper and Copper Mountain voice, brand and style guidelines.

Work with marketing team to update marketing messages in daily snow report emails.

Be a source of creative assistance to the entire marketing team. 

Work well with other business units to execute on needs on time and within the scope of the ask.

Staff on and off-site events to promote Copper Mountain or Woodward Copper as needed.

Other Duties as Assigned:

Basic Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Advanced skier or snowboarder capable of riding the entire mountain. 

Must be able to ski or snowboard while carrying required photo or video equipment.

Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in photography, film and video or related field. 

Established photography and video portfolio.

Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software. 

Professional working knowledge of Sony mirrorless cameras, lenses, and GoPros.

Professional knowledge of lighting techniques.

Minimum 1 year experience in marketing and the resort industry.

Experience flying drones for video purposes. Drone pilot certification preferred or must be acquired upon hiring.

Basic knowledge of graphic design

Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS. 

Great understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social media tools and trends.
