Consulting/Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities
 

Acting as an acknowledged 'go to' person on coding and technical issues, for both internal and external contacts

Interfacing with other personnel or team members to identify solutions to customer problemsDevelop innovative strategies and processes for ingesting, transforming, and managing data in bulkModify, test and deploy custom B2C policiesWriting queries, functions, and ETL jobsSchedule and coordinate database jobs, monitor progress and completion of all jobs, and take corrective action as neededManage and monitor various data feeds through the system and handle issues as they ariseConsult on feature design, implementation, and relevant metrics like reliability, completeness, accuracy, and costPerform capacity monitoring, as well as short and long-term capacity planning

Requirements


Have a BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to delegate effectively.Have experience with Azure and AWS products.Have familiarity with RDS, Redis, Lambda, S3, EC2sHave experience with programming languages such as Java and PythonExpertise with various database systems, the development of micro-services, optimization, and industry best practicesHave experience in partnering with and leading internal and external technology resources to solve business needs.Have substantial experience with query languages.Have the ability to guide engineers and other team members on features and best practices.Have documentation skills for processes and procedures.Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience.
