Join PwC in our Finance, Economics and Analytics team in Consulting, helping manage a diverse range of projects across our established and growing energy and utilities client base. Based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, you will be an integral part of our wider energy and utilities practice, providing clients with robust commercial analysis, market economic advice and strategic sector insights.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Lead consulting projects and teams, delivering innovative solutions and insights to our clients through robust commercial and sector analysis and through research into global trends and local opportunities.
Conduct commercial and investment evaluation, economic and market outlook studies, value assessments, and forecasting in order to deliver strategic advice.
Build and maintain strong relationships across our client base and other industry stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Coach and guide junior team members, promoting a collaborative, high performing, and growth-oriented environment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive successful project outcomes and enhance service delivery.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience within the energy and utilities sector, focusing on market, financial and commercial analysis.
A good understanding of the global energy transition, future energy solutions, and the New Zealand energy and utilities sector is preferred.
A degree in commerce, economics or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
Advanced problem-solving skills with strong commercial acumen and strategic insights.
Motivated and organised, with experience in managing analysts and projects
Strong communication skills and reporting writing, able to convey complex analyses effectively.
Proficiency in Excel based financial modelling.
