Consulting Engineer (Industrial Engineer)
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Position status: Permanent and office based.
There is an exciting new role available for a Consulting Engineer (Industrial Engineer) at a well-established business and engineering consultancy firm.
Position Overview:
The primary responsibilities of the Consulting Engineer (Industrial Engineer) will be to form part of a Consulting Team to deliver consultancy services for external and internal clients.
The scope of work includes requirement elicitation, business process re-engineering, concept development, user requirements specifications, report writing and solving complex problems using Industrial Engineering tools and techniques.
Additional responsibilities of the Consulting Engineer will, at times, include project management, data analysis, operational support, tender preparation, and management consulting in general.
To be considered for this position, one must have:
A Postgraduate qualification (in process or completed). A completed Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Industrial Engineering from a reputable university is essential. A minimum of 3 years relevant and related experience in the consulting and/or IT and systems industry required. Proven experience in applying analytical and conceptual skills and report writing. Show great initiative and creativity, working well both independently and in a team. High attention to detail. Proficiency in the advance features of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience in the Following Fields:
Business Process Modelling and Data Analysis. Applying Artificial Intelligent (AI) tools in project research, report and bid proposal writing, preparing presentations and product brochures (advance graphic design). Task administration and documentation using JIRA (Kanban) and Miro boards (or similar). Project Management, Task Planning and Project Administration.
Experience in the Following Industries:
Transport Planning, Governance and Compliance with both Domestic and International Regulatory Requirements. Supply Chain Processes and Regulations for International Trade from Purchase Order to Delivery at client via Sea / Air / Road Shipment. International Trade Facilitation.
