Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Consulting Application Architect is responsible for defining the clinical applications architecture environment in support of initiatives within the Data and Analytics department. This position will ensure that clinical applications strategically align with HCA Healthcare business initiatives and enterprise IT standards. This position will lead the overall design, architecture, implementation, training, documentation and operational support of clinical applications. This includes the integration/interface of clinical applications with other enterprise applications, the clinical data warehouse as well as other tools, technologies and services. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to establish effective working relationships and manage multiple priorities. Provides hands-on technical leadership for clinical application development projects/production support and provides guidance to other developers in completion of technical deliverables. This also involves working with business partners and business analysts on documenting their business requirements to ensure they are technically feasible and to produce technical designs that will meet the requirements. Additionally, this position is constantly in search of improvement opportunities for any process involved with the deployment of technical deliverables. This includes requirement and design documentation, development and testing methodology, and deployment process. **GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES** Leads overall architecture and design of clinical applications in partnership with other stakeholders, to ensure integration and alignment of process design, workflows, development, training and deployment. Leads clinical application development team in planning, architecture, design, build, code reviews, test, deployment and production support of clinical applications. Troubleshoots technical problems and conducts analyses for efficient application solutions which support business processes, functional and technical requirements. Leads planning and solution sessions with other IT teams; collaborates with Product Analysts to identify and resolve workflow impacts. Identifies inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement within application design and recommends solutions. Participates on leadership teams determining the overall direction, policies, procedures and standards of the enterprise application environments. Promotes enterprise application development standards, process improvement and best practices. Participates actively in key meetings with IT&S and Business Leadership to support clinical application and technology planning. Collaborates with contractors and vendors in completion of technical deliverables. Communication & relationship management with other key stakeholders. Stays current with new development technologies and application implementation strategies in the IT industry. **What qualifications you will need:** **EDUCATION** Bachelor’s Degree - Preferred **RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE** 7 or more years **OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS** Proven experience as an Application Architect for at least 7 or more years of application development experience. In-depth .NET framework development experience including a deep technical understanding of the framework. Significant development experience with ASP.NET, C#, VB.net SQL Server, HTML/CSS, AngularJS, NodeJS, React, VueJS and other JavaScript Libraries. Experience with MS SQL Server and Teradata is required. In-depth knowledge and practical experience using RESTful APIs, preferably ASP.NET Web API. Practical experience with mobile technologies and frameworks. In-depth knowledge and practical experience with object-oriented design and analysis. Practical experience with multi-tier, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) systems design and development. In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies, both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum, and involvement in the complete development life cycle. **OTHER SKILLS and EXPERIENCE** Experience in Healthcare is preferred with strong knowledge/experience in clinical workflows and processes 7 or more years of .net architecture, design and coding experience 7 or more years RESTful services experience for both the client and server implementations 7 or more years of Application Architecture experience 7 or more years of Agile methodology experience 7 or more years of AngularJS, NodeJS, React, VueJS, or HTML5 experience Highly proficient in SQL Broad and deep understanding of application server platforms: Apache and Tomcat HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
