People:
Create a positive team member experience.Client:
Prepares, reviews, and processes all client reporting requirements.Travels to client locations to gather and copy tax returns, invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation to use in the audit refund process.Reviews and reconciles client data downloads and identifies tax issues to research.Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies.Value:
Negotiates tax resolutions with state agencies.Performs other duties as assigned.Assists with complex state and local tax projects, including audit defense, managed audits, managed compliance, reverse audits, and tax recovery.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Finance; Risk, Insurance and Financial Services; Economics; or other degree with Masters in Business Discipline or JD. Must have (9) Accounting hours or the ability to substitute technical courses for Accounting hours, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and a Major GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Work Environment:
• Standard indoor working environment.
• Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
• Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e-mail and telephone.
• Position requires regular interaction with clients and interface with external vendors in person and via e-mail and telephone.
• Independent travel requirement: Up to 10%.
New York NY Salary: $74,800-$93,500
Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation.
