Summary:

Analyzes data files from other paying agents and translates them into Excel specifications that are uploaded to Northern Trust’s system. Reconciles the data files against payment registers to identify differences between paying agents’ payrolls. Operates under general supervision but works on own most of the time. Technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries, and serves as a liaison to related areas. Has both broad and in-depth knowledge in chosen field, plus strong knowledge of related areas. Carries out relatively complex, extensive, high profile activities e.g. direct interaction with committees and more senior management. Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills. May lead projects and/or train lower-level staff. 9.Focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures in the function, building towards becoming an area expert. Leads bi-weekly calls with new clients to discuss transition of benefit payments to Northern Trust, follows checklist to ensure all tasks are completed by go-live date, acts as primary contact for clients during transition period. May participate in sales presentations.

Knowledge/ Skills: Strong Excel skills are required: Consultant will need to reformat client data into Northern Trust’s accepted format.

Experience Required Two or more years of related business experience. Must have good project management and communication skills and have strong working knowledge of the firm, the industry and technology.
