ABOUT THE ROLEThe Construction Technology Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the project software technologies used across our construction operations. This includes supporting construction teams on-site, managing vendor relationships (including contracts, renewals, and vendor performance), and leading a dedicated group of technical professionals to ensure that technology systems run smoothly, are up to date, and fully aligned with business needs. The role is key to ensuring that construction projects are supported with effective and efficient technology solutions. Leadership and Team ManagementGuide and manage a team of technology professionals to provide on-site software and technology support for construction operations.Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to a technology support team.Conduct performance evaluations, manage team workload, and help develop skill sets.Foster a collaborative and innovative environment where team members can thrive and continuously improve their technical expertise.Technology Management and OwnershipResponsible for ownership and maintenance of the CEI Project Technology Portfolio.Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of software and systems used in construction projects (e.g., project management platforms, BIM software, field reporting tools).Comprehend, evaluate and identify opportunities to improve operational processes and workflows, such as labor management, time tracking, and field operations.Ensure that all technology solutions are aligned with operational goals and business strategies.Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for all construction technology solutions, ensuring effective integration and troubleshooting of platforms.Oversee software updates and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to construction operations.Vendor Relationship and Contract ManagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers.Provide information and support for contract negotiations, manage renewals, and ensure that all vendor agreements are up to date and compliant with organizational policies.Track vendor performance to ensure the timely delivery of services, including software updates, system integrations, and technical support.Work with vendors to ensure that issues are addressed quickly and that any changes to software or services are communicated effectively to internal stakeholders.Project Support and On-Site Technology DeploymentCollaborate with project managers and field teams to identify technology needs and ensure they are met with effective solutions.Manage the deployment and integration of technology solutions at construction sites, ensuring seamless functionality and user adoption.Partner with Change Management resources to support the roll-out of new technology systems, ensuring that team members are adequately trained and supported.Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that team members are appropriately distributed across projects and tasks.Provide support resources to construction teams on-site as needed or to address any technology-related issues or concerns during project execution.Strategic Planning and Continuous ImprovementAssist in the development of technology strategies and roadmaps for improving construction project delivery through innovative solutions.Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that could improve construction workflows, efficiency, and safety.Regularly review current systems and workflows to recommend improvements and streamline processes.Reporting and DocumentationEstablish, maintain, and adhere to a Technology Support Playbook to create an exceptional standard and level of support to the field.Provide reports to senior management on technology performance, including system uptime, vendor performance, and team productivity.Assign, review and approve documentation of processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to create a knowledge base for the team and end-users.Maintain up-to-date records of technology contracts, licenses, and renewal dates to ensure timely renewals and compliance.Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s). Complexity: Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities. Discretion: Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will add to costs and may impact the short-term goals of the organization. Interaction: Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team. Supervision: Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. In some instances this manager may be responsible for a functional area and not have any subordinate employees. ABOUT YOUProcore and Autodesk experience in an administrative support role, as an experienced end-user, and as an active deployment agent.Proven track record of managing software solutions for construction operations.Experience leading and managing a team of technical professionals.Experience managing vendor relationships and contract review.Strong understanding of construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, BIM tools) as well as field and operational workflows.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Knowledge of construction industry-specific technology needs and challenges.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Critical Thinking and Evaluation Skills.Can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
