JSG is searching for a Construction Superintendent for projects in the Southeast US.  This is a direct hire position with competitive salary with bonus and outstanding benefits including excellent health insurance packages, paid vacations and holidays, 401(k), Employee Stock Ownership.

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for driving the project forward from start to finish on time and within the budget. They must be able to develop good relationship with the subcontractors who partner with company to produce quality work, and to train tomorrow’s construction leaders. They need to be a problem solver and be able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications: 10+ years of commercial construction industry experience overseeing new construction or remodel projects/trades with value of $8M or more. Required experience in remodeling a grocery stores (i.e. Publix, Kroger, Aldi, Lidl, Walmart Supercenter, Target, Costco, etc.). Preferred experience in building at least one ground up grocery store. Advanced understanding and experience with complex site work. Ability to travel throughout the Southeast US Ability to read and understand how the plans, specifications and general and special conditions affect the overall success of the project. Ability to maintain construction schedules and perform regular updates. Strong coordination of jobsite logistics skills. Organization and an eye for detail throughout the entire project. Effective communication with the Project Team, proving and receiving feedback in a manner that fosters success. Set up project safety requirements and schedule Tool Box Talks Ability to provide a safe, secure and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
